We wanted to do something different this season. Not just styled under lights—but lived in.

So we packed a few suits, hopped in the ‘75 BMW, and headed up the coast to Jenner. About ninety minutes north of San Francisco—quiet roads, big skies, a café, and not much else. That’s the charm.

We brought suits made from Fox Air, Fox Linen, and the newly revived William Bliss fabrics because they made sense: lightweight, breathable, and in tones that belonged out there—rust, sand, stone, slate. They moved with the breeze and settled into the landscape like they were meant to.

Fox Brothers recently brought back a remarkable archive of 12oz wool/linen cloth from the historic William Bliss mill—tailoring with history woven in. The fabrics and colors feel right at home in a Northern California summer and carry comfortably into warm October days.

Fox Air remains our go-to for warm-weather and travel suiting. It’s crisp, dry, and crease-resistant, thanks to its 2-ply up-twisted worsted yarn—a fabric built for long days and late nights.

And Fox Linen? It’s all about tone. Rich, earthy colors that feel more California coastline than country club. Clothes with character that match the landscape—and attitude—perfectly.

But really, the trip (and the clothes) were about being together. Real friends, real conversation. Music, relationships, the last good book someone read. Cold beers and dive bar pizza in Bodega at the end of the day.

Tailors’ Keep has always been about high craft, low fuss. California through and through.
