Tailors’ Keep Guide to San Francisco: Part I
As our reputation has grown, so has our circle—especially among those visiting from out of town. It turns out, when you make beautiful clothes, peo...
Since January 2015, we’ve relentlessly pursued excellence in the form of expertly-tailored suits and shirts. That’s a lot of time thinking about how clothing fits. You might see a suit for its color, shape or texture. We see things like shoulder slopes, trouser rise balance, sleeve head shape, and lapel gorge lines. We’re obsessed with the details.
We love it when people leave our shop and say they learned something. Or are excited about dressing up. Or feel a fresh sense of confidence.
Because at the end of the day, our goal is to create exceptional pieces of clothing that you actually want to wear. We know how empowering it feels to wear clothing designed specifically for you. From semi-bespoke suits, our everyday favorite, to true bespoke ones, which get hand cut and crafted in our SF tailoring studio—we’re happy to walk you through both. Just reserve time at one of the showrooms.

In the early days, people would chuckle and suggest I sell custom hoodies instead. But I had worked in suiting and custom clothing my entire career—and I knew SF deserved nothing short of the best.
Since then, we’ve sold thousands of suits. Many of our clients have become friends. And we’ve built a reputation for being obsessed with excellence, yet inviting to everyone.
The Wall Street Journal’s fashion editor once described Tailors’ Keep as “an intimate shopping experience that inverts the breakneck pace of fast fashion and e-commerce.”
We’d love to invite you in, too. Stop by the shop and let’s talk.
